Cognitive and semiotic analysis of cinematic works
A cognitive and semiotic analysis of Ukrainian films from 2011 to 2024: what meanings were put into their works by film directors and screenwriters, what meanings actually appeared in the films after the analysis of scholars, what meanings were understood by the audience of these films.
1. Plot analysis: The study of the plot of a movie to identify the main themes, ideas, and messages that the author is trying to convey.
2. Study of symbolism: Analyzing the symbols, metaphors, and other iconic elements used in the movie to identify hidden meanings.
3. Character analysis: The study of characters, their motives, actions, and interactions to better understand the meanings they convey.
4. Dialogue analysis: The study of dialogues between characters to identify the meanings conveyed through language.
5. Analysis of visual elements: Studying visual elements such as shots, colors, lighting to discover how they affect the meaning of the movie.
6. Analysis of the soundtrack: The study of music, sound effects, and silence to determine their impact on the meaning of the film.
7. Context analysis: The study of the historical, cultural and social context of the film to better understand its meanings.
8. Analysis of audience reception: Studying the feedback and interpretations of the audience to understand how they perceive and understand the film.
9. Comparison with other works: Comparing a film to other works by the same author or other films of the same genre to identify unique and shared meanings.
